Barazek (Sesame Cookies)

One of the most delicious crunchy biscuits, made from a soft dough and coated with sesame and pistachios. Perfect with a cup of tea and a holiday favorite.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup ghee
1 cup sugar (to taste)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cookie spice (Ka'ak spice)
Sesame seeds and pistachios for coating

Steps

1Mix all ingredients together until a soft, pliable dough is formed.
2Divide the dough into small balls and flatten them into thin discs.
3Press one side of the disc into pistachios and the other side into a generous layer of sesame seeds.
4Bake at medium heat until golden brown and crunchy.
