Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken or meat
- Olive oil, salt, black pepper, cardamom pods, cloves, bay leaves, seven-spice, turmeric
- 1 medium onion (for sautéing)
- Olive oil with one tablespoon of ghee or butter
- 1 onion, sliced
- Garlic cloves
- Salt, black pepper, cumin, turmeric, seven-spice
- Long-grain rice
- Fried pine nuts and almonds for garnish
Steps
- 1Boil the meat well with onions and mixed spices.
- 2Once the meat is cooked, place it in a clay pot with the rice and chickpeas, stir gently, then add water to cover the rice.
- 3After it comes to a boil, cook on low heat until fully done.
- 4Garnish with fried almonds and pine nuts before serving.
